Research area
I have been investigating the acquisition of the use of signs and language as well as the development of the same in childhood. My research mainly focuses on the development of the communicative and pragmatic competence of children between 3 and 5 years old. I attempt to explore what kind of skills and abilities are needed for young children to understand nonliteral language (certain figures of speech) in various communicative situations.
