Research area
My research focuses on the analysis of politeness from pragmatic and cognitive stylistic points of view with special emphasis on polite expressions in spoken language. My academic interests also include the analysis of complimenting and compliment responses as well as the cultural aspects of the same ¦ based on Hungarian and Italian language corpora. Furthermore, my interest extends to other areas as well: the teaching of Hungarian as a foreign language, the application of contrastive analysis in language teaching, the teaching of Hungarian in Italy and the analysis of the Genoese dialect (through authentic written texts).
