Research area
The aim of my research is to study narrative texts on history within the framework of functional cognitive linguistics. My goal is to explore what kind of schemas influence the linguistic representations of significant actors of history (e.g. Napoleon, Russia, the English Army) at various narrative levels (micro, meso and macro). Due to the cognitive linguistic framework of the research, grammatical, semantic and pragmatic aspects are also considered during the investigation of texts.
