Research area
My research focuses on historical pragmatics with special emphasis on the evolution of the periphrastic perfective past in Catalan. As a member of the Research Group for Theoretical Linguistics, having been established by the University of Szeged and the University of Debrecen, I also deal with various methodological issues in historical pragmatics research such as data and methods used within the field, with special regard to the role and interpretation of context. My future goal is to study speech acts from a historical perspective.
