The project deals with one of the most important topics of present day linguistics research, namely, what kind of data can be applied in differing linguistics theories and how these data can be used as evidence for one or another theory. Recently, there has been an intensive debate about these questions in the international linguistics community. The project attempts to contribute to this debate by conducting different case studies on the basis of which it wants to suggest generalizations about the possibility of integration of different data types relying on Kertész and Rákosi’ s (2012) metatheoretical p-model. Szegedian researchers in the project (Enikő Németh T., Károly Bibok, Katalin Nagy C., Zoltán Vecsey and Zsuzsanna Németh) intend to answer the question how and in what extent the various integration possibilities in the fields of semantics, pragmatics and historical linguistics can influence the plausibility of linguistics hypotheses..
